Q + A

What should I wear?

There is no formal dress code, smart casual is fine, smart shorts for men and summer dresses for ladies etc. We would recommend closed-toe shoes and no very high heels due to the location. It will likely be pretty hot so please dress with that in mind sun hats may be useful. It can sometimes get a little chilly when the sun sets so bring something for the evening.

What should I pack?

If you have opted for a safari tent, towels and shower gel will be provided. If you are self-camping, please bring them. Heat is prevalent, so please bring appropriate clothing. The bush is also thick and dusty so we recommend you don't bring your favourite clothes. Additional items that might be useful are high-factor sun cream, and bug repellant (with DEET).

Is there wildlife?

We are still finalising the venue, but most likely, there will be! Wildlife generally stays away from areas with lots of human activity. However, we do request you don't go wandering away from camp and stick to the lit and busy areas which the animals will naturally shy away from. This is particularly important after dark! There is also snakes and scorpions around, we don't see these very often as they're pretty shy but we recommend you wear closed toe shoes and keep tents zipped up.

ARE THERE Bathrooms?

There are no plumbed bathrooms, but short drop camping toilets and bucket showers will be set up. Guys will be on hand to heat water and set up the showers.

What about food?

Food and drink will be provided, due to the location we cannot cater for preferences however if you have a serious allergy/intolerance please whatsapp us and we will see what we can do.

Will there be power?

In short no, did we mention its camping? the tents will not have a power supply. Bring a battery pack or plan to be 'off grid' for the weekend. Phone signal is patchy anyway!

Are Children allowed?

Children and babies are very welcome, please just let us know they're coming in advance for catering purposes. If you are hiring a safari tent, children are welcome to stay with you at no extra cost - Babies, you will need to bring a travel cot or have them share your bed. - Older children, we can get an extra mattress on the tent floor, please just ensure we know in advance this is required.

Can we bring you a gift?

No gifts are necessary, getting yourselves to the middle of nowhere to celebrate with us is plenty!
